The gallery, founded in 2006, predominantly focuses on presenting young and upcoming artists, both those who work in traditional media and those who indulge in modern, technologically-based art forms. The programme of the gallery is based on an open international call for exhibition projects, which is announced annually in the summer.\n\nBesides hosting numerous upcoming local artists, the gallery actively collaborates with institutions like [[School of Arts, University of Nova Gorica]] or the [[Academy of Fine Arts and Design]] and regularly exhibits artists from abroad. As Nova Gorica and thus TIR are located near the border with Italy, cooperation with Italian artists, institutions and audiences is a very common practice."
